Susanne's early life unfolded in the sun-kissed landscape of Southern California, where she was raised and educated under the guidance of her father, an accountant, and her mother, a secretary. At the tender age of eighteen, a photographer stumbled upon some snapshots taken by a friend, which caught the attention of a top modelling agent, leading to her instant signing.
With her all-American looks and effervescent personality, Susanne's modelling career took off, and she quickly became a sought-after face on the West Coast, gracing the covers of top fashion magazines and starring in numerous TV commercials. Her television debut arrived when she was cast alongside Jeff Conaway, a fellow "Taxi" alum, to co-host two 90-minute TV specials for ABC, "California Jam 2," a rock concert extravaganza held at Ontario Motor Speedway.
Susanne's career continued to soar, with appearances in popular TV shows, films, and commercials, while she also pursued voice-over work and modelling gigs. The 1990s saw her relocate to Europe, where she experienced unprecedented success, starring in various TV shows, including a leading role in a top-rated nighttime European soap, movies, and industrial films.
In addition to her acting pursuits, Susanne also showcased her talents in a one-woman cabaret show, "Marlene Dietrich: A Life," which she performed across Europe. Today, she is married to Tony van Renterghem, a former assistant cameraman and one of Hollywood's most respected motion picture researchers.
