Susan Ling Young is an Australian-born Chinese actor of great renown, having made a significant impact in the entertainment industry through her versatility and talent. Her most notable role to date is that of Tina Kwong in the popular TV comedy series The Office (2024),which has earned the distinction of being Prime Australia's #1 most successful Original.
In addition to her work in television, Susan has also appeared in feature films, including the critically acclaimed 24 Hours to Live (2017),opposite Hollywood actor Ethan Hawke, which was filmed in Cape Town, South Africa. Her television credits include notable series such as Hungry Ghosts (2020),Barons (2022),and The Twelve (2022).
Susan's work on the AACTA Award-nominated SBS TV series Hungry Ghosts, which featured a record-breaking Asian-Australian cast in Australian television history, earned her the prestigious 2021 Equity Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Mini-series or Telemovie.
Before pursuing a career in acting, Susan spent over 20 years working as a registered nurse. She leveraged her experience and skills to write, direct, co-produce, and design the award-winning film Escape from the Cafe of Healthy Salvation, which premiered at the 2010 NSW Nurses' Association Short Film Festival and was later screened at the National Institute of Dramatic Art in Sydney.
