Susan Ward was born in Monroe, Louisiana, and as a child, she was deeply passionate about animals, with a dream of becoming a veterinarian. However, at the tender age of 13, a local modeling agent's discovery changed the trajectory of her life. Susan and her mother traveled to the iconic city of New York to explore the possibilities of a modeling career, which Susan believed would provide her with the financial means to fund her veterinary school education.
Within a week, Susan had signed with the prestigious Ford Modeling Agency, marking the beginning of her journey in the world of modeling. Her print work experience gave her the idea to explore a career in acting, and she soon landed a recurring role on the popular television series All My Children in 1970.
Susan's acting career continued to flourish, as she starred alongside Keri Russell and Charisma Carpenter on the nighttime soap Malibu Shores in 1996, produced by the renowned Aaron Spelling. Although the series only lasted for eight episodes, Susan's talent and dedication earned her roles in films such as Poison Ivy: The New Seduction in 1997 and collaborations with Spelling again in the daytime soap Sunset Beach in 1997.
Subsequently, Susan starred in the thriller The In Crowd in 2000 and Would I Lie to You? in 2002, solidifying her position as a talented and versatile actress in the entertainment industry.
