A remarkable career spanning nearly three decades, marked by a diverse range of professional experiences, as Walker worked for a variety of esteemed networks, studios, cable channels, and independent production companies. Throughout her illustrious career, she received multiple nominations for prestigious awards, including the coveted Emmy and Cable Ace awards, with her outstanding work on "All About Bette" ultimately earning her a Cable ACE award in 1994.
Prior to embarking on her producing career, Walker pursued higher education at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA),where she earned both a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree. During her academic tenure, she honed her writing skills by contributing to the Los Angeles Times, and subsequently, she spent three years as a broadcast engineer for ABC, laying the foundation for her future success.
Walker's producing credits date back to 1975, and she was an esteemed member of several prominent industry organizations, including the Writers Guild of America (WGA),Directors Guild of America (DGA),and National Association of Broadcast Employees and Technicians (NABET).
Sadly, Walker passed away in Los Angeles due to respiratory failure, following a prolonged battle with cancer.
