Suresh Oberoi was born into a family of five siblings, consisting of four boys and four girls. His sister, Chanchal Uberoi, is a world-renowned mathematician, scientist, and professor, having written numerous books and held a professorship at Harvard University. Chanchal Uberoi is married to Professor/Dr. S.N. Balasubrahmanyam, and they have a daughter, Vibhavaree Gargeya, who is married to Dr. Kenneth E. Miller and resides in Seattle, USA. Chanchal Uberoi and Saraswathi also have a son, Sameehana Gargeya, who lives in Bangalore with his wife Anupama Setia and their children, Smera and Vivikth.
