Born in India, he began his life journey in a foreign land, only to later find his roots in Canada, where he would blossom into an accomplished screenwriter, short film director, and actor. His extensive credits include series regular and recurring character roles, a testament to his versatility and dedication to his craft.
Breaking into the television industry as a writer, he would go on to make a lasting impact as one of the original writers of the beloved Muppet TV show Fraggle Rock. This iconic series would serve as a springboard for his acting career, which was launched with a starring role in the CBC TV movie Best of Both Worlds, a project he had the distinction of writing himself.
As a trailblazer, he became the first visible minority to attend the prestigious Canadian Film Centre as a writer-director, where he would receive guidance from some of the most renowned figures in the industry, including Norman Jewison, Daniel Petrie, Sr., Lou Lombardo, and James Horner. His impressive training would serve him well as he continued to hone his craft, producing award-winning short films that would be showcased at numerous festivals around the world.
In addition to his work in film, he is also a talented stage actor and produced playwright, earning a Dora award nomination for his outstanding performances. A member of several prestigious organizations, including the Writers Guild of Canada, ACTRA, Canadian Actors Equity, and the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television, he is a voting member of the latter.
Throughout his career, he has shared his expertise by teaching screenwriting and acting at the college level and conducting seminars across Canada, inspiring a new generation of artists to follow in his footsteps.
