Steven D. Mairano, a multifaceted individual, was born on August 22, 1949, in the vibrant city of Brooklyn, New York. His grandfather, a talented piano player, had a unique profession, entertaining audiences in silent film theaters in Downtown Manhattan during the early 1900s.
As the years went by, Steven's passion for music led him to pursue a career in Rock and Roll, commencing in the late 1960s and early 1970s. He collaborated with renowned concert promoter Howard Stein, working at iconic venues such as Madison Square Garden, The Fillmore East, and many others. This marked the beginning of his illustrious career in the music industry.
In 1974, Steven relocated to Ft. Lauderdale, where he continued to work in live performances and television. His journey eventually led him to Jupiter, Florida, where he enrolled at The Burt Reynolds Institute for Film and Theatre. It was during his time at the institute that Burt Reynolds, a renowned actor and director, recognized Steven's exceptional writing abilities, drawing comparisons to the legendary playwright Arthur Miller.
Reynolds offered to direct Steven in his short film, Penance, which served as a catalyst for Steven to write numerous works for the institute. Since then, Steven has continued to hone his craft, writing and acting in independent films throughout Florida.
His latest project, the comedy film HOME STRETCH, is currently in production, further solidifying his reputation as a talented writer and actor.
