Biography

Steven Cree Molison, a Mètis individual born in southern British Columbia, was adopted at the age of six months and spent his early years in the Yukon and Northwest Territories of northern Canada.

As a young person, Steven was adventurous and rebellious, leaving his northern home at the age of 16 to embark on a journey of self-discovery and exploration. Throughout his life, he has encountered various challenges and obstacles, but his resilience and determination have allowed him to emerge stronger and more authentic with each experience.

Despite his early passion for acting, Steven's life took a different turn when he had a young family and put his dreams on hold to work as a carpenter and home-builder for over 20 years. During this time, he often taught his trade in small northern communities in British Columbia.

However, a severe motorcycle accident and brain injury presented Steven with an unexpected opportunity to pursue a career in the film industry once again, some twenty years after his initial aspirations. He began working as a stunt performer and later enrolled in a two-year program at Vancouver's William Davis Centre for Acting, graduating in 2001.

Since then, Steven has been dedicated to his craft, earning multiple award nominations for his performances, including three nominations for the Leo Award's Best Lead Performance by a Male in a Dramatic Series for his recurring role as Daryl Fraser on Blackstone. In 2012, he won the award for his outstanding performance.

Steven's other notable works include his roles in Brokeback Mountain and Fifty Shades of Grey.
