Steven Bauer, born Esteban Ernesto Echevarría Samson, is a Cuban-born American actor who embarked on his professional journey by portraying Joe Peña, the son of Cuban immigrants, on the PBS television series Qué Pasa, USA, a role he undertook from 1977 to 1980.
