Biography

Steve Reevis was born and raised on the Blackfeet Reservation in Browning, Montana, to Curley and Lila Reevis, where he was one of six siblings, ranking fourth in birth order. His educational background includes graduating from Flandreau High School and attending Haskell Indian Junior College in Lawrence, Kansas, where he earned a degree in arts.

Following his junior college education, Steve left his hometown in Montana to pursue an acting career in Los Angeles. For an extended period, he resided in his 1971 Ford Torino, a beach-dwelling car, before stabilizing his income.

Steve is married to Macile, a talented artist and clothing designer, with whom he shares three children.

In 1996, Steve received a prestigious award from First Americans in the Arts (FAITA) for his impressive supporting roles in the critically acclaimed film Fargo and the made-for-television movie Crazy Horse.

Additionally, in 2004, Steve repeated this honor for his outstanding work on the ABC series Line of Fire.
