Steve Railsback biography:
Born on November 16, 1945, in Dallas, Texas, Steve Railsback developed an interest in acting at the age of 7 after participating in a local college production of "Cinderella". He graduated from high school, worked as a shoe salesman, and eventually relocated to New York in 1967 to pursue a career in acting. Railsback was a student of Lee Strasberg and the Actors Studio, where he worked menial jobs to survive before becoming a regular fixture in the New York theatre scene.
He caught the attention of renowned director Elia Kazan, who offered him a showy role in the low-budget film "The Visitors" (1972). Railsback returned to the theatre, appearing in various stage productions, before making his Broadway debut in "The Skin of Our Teeth" (1975). He also appeared in several films, including "Cockfighter" (1974),"Charlie Siringo" (1976),and "Helter Skelter" (1976),in which he played the role of Charles Manson.
Railsback's performance in "Helter Skelter" earned him recognition in Hollywood, and he went on to appear in a variety of films and television shows throughout the 1980s and 1990s. He has also dabbled in writing, producing, and directing, and has appeared in numerous films and television shows in recent years.
