Steve Alten, a renowned author, was born in Philadelphia and earned a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education from Penn State University, followed by a Master's in Sports Medicine from the University of Delaware and a Doctorate from Temple University. Throughout his academic journey, Steve was an avid basketball player and coach, working informally with Hall of Fame coach John Chaney from 1984 to 1987.
Steve's literary career is marked by numerous bestselling novels, including the MEG series, LOCH series, and 2012 Mayan Doomsday series. His works have been optioned for dramatic rights by Belle Avery/Apelles Entertainment.
