Stephen Rea, a renowned thespian, hails from the vibrant city of Belfast, Northern Ireland. His educational journey began at Belfast High School, where he laid the foundation for his future endeavors. He then pursued his passion for the English language at Queen's University, further honing his skills. Subsequently, he enrolled in the prestigious Abbey Theatre School in Dublin, where he refined his craft under the guidance of esteemed mentors.

Rea's early forays into the world of acting commenced in the 1970s, when he joined the Focus Company in Dublin alongside fellow talented thespians Gabriel Byrne and Colm Meaney. This collaborative experience served as a springboard for his subsequent appearances on stage, television, and film.
