Stefen Kloppenburg is a multifaceted Canadian individual who wears many hats, including musician, entrepreneur, production assistant, set designer and construction manager, boom operator, and actor. He is exclusively dedicated to working in the micro-budget film industry, and is based in Vancouver, British Columbia.
As a musician, Stefen is a talented producer and singer-songwriter who performs under the moniker nrthsound and raps under the pseudonym $elfimploy. He has taken the reins in directing and producing most of his own music videos, and has collaborated with Millspictures Studios on select projects.
Despite his extensive experience in music production and micro-budget film making, Stefen does not possess a formal education in either field. His passion and dedication have been instrumental in his success.
Stefen is married to Freda Chen, a Taiwanese-Canadian entrepreneur, and together they co-founded Full Circle Furniture, a company that specializes in restoring, refurbishing, and selling vintage furniture to both individual consumers and film industry clients. The company also makes a positive impact in the local community by donating a portion of its profits to various charities in Vancouver.
