Born in Melbourne in the year 1976, Curry is the youngest of five siblings, and he spent his childhood in Deepdene, a suburb located in Melbourne's eastern region.

As the son of a Catholic family, Curry was raised with strong Catholic values and attended Our Lady of Good Counsel Primary School, where he laid the foundation for his future education.
