Stephen Bridgewater's humble beginnings took root in Hutchinson, Kansas, where he first saw the light of day. His high school years were spent in the close-knit Mennonite community of Buhler, Kansas, where he likely developed a strong sense of values and community.
As he grew older, Bridgewater's passion for the arts led him to pursue higher education at Hutchinson Community College, followed by a stint at the renowned University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA),where he honed his skills in the field of film.
Before he could even legally drink, Bridgewater began his professional career in radio broadcasting at the tender age of 14. Over the next 18 years, he rose to the top of the morning DJ ranks in major cities such as Atlanta, Chicago, Knoxville, and Nashville, Tennessee.
In addition to his on-air work, Bridgewater also found success as an actor and writer, appearing in and creating numerous regional and national commercials. His talents didn't go unnoticed, and in 1987, he landed his first behind-the-scenes film job as a coach to the legendary Jeff Bridges, under the direction of the acclaimed Terry Gilliam.
Throughout his illustrious career, Bridgewater has accumulated a diverse array of credits, including actor, producer, director, 2nd unit director, stunts coordinator, writer, and drama coach.
