Stefan Lysenko embarked on a journey of artistic discovery in the early 1990s, studying acting under the esteemed guidance of Stella Adler in Hollywood, California, and at the Playhouse West School and Repertory Theater, which employed the Meisner technique.
During the mid-1990s, he made his mark on the New York theater scene, appearing in numerous productions, including the critically acclaimed "Twilight Cafe" at the EST Theater in 1993 and "The Seagull" at the Actors Theater in 1993.
Returning to Hollywood, he began to lay the foundation for his film career, which would soon flourish.
In the late 1990s, Stefan Lysenko further honed his craft by studying "The Method" under the tutelage of the legendary Shelley Winters at The Actors Studio, and he became a director member of The Actors Studio's PD Unit in 2009.
Throughout this period, he continued to perform in various stage productions, including the award-winning "Broadway Bound" in 1995 at the Lonny Chapman Group Repertory Theater in LA, California.
As a multifaceted artist, Stefan Lysenko is known for his work as an actor, director, writer, and producer, having appeared in notable films such as "Love Affair" in 1994, "Jane Austen's Mafia" in 1998, and "The Stray" in 2000.
In 1998, he wrote, produced, and directed his first feature-length film, "Between Christmas & New Year's," shot in black and white, 16mm film.
In 1999, Stefan Lysenko established Bliss Art House Café on N. Vine Street in Hollywood, a haven for creatives, including writers, artists, singers, poets, and comedians, which also hosts daily Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.
Bliss Art House Café was featured in the book "Resident Tourist Los Angeles" for its unique and captivating atmosphere, earning the accolade "so damn cool."
In 2009, Stefan Lysenko ventured into politics, running for the U.S. House of Representatives in California's 32nd district and finishing in 10th place.
Stefan Lysenko is married to Sophie Moine Lysenko and has two children, and he continues to be an integral part of the entertainment industry, leaving a lasting impact on the world of film, theater, and beyond.
