His inaugural short film, "East" (Wschód),holds a unique distinction as the first narrative film to be shot within the Chernobyl Zone.
Prior to embarking on his filmmaking journey, Kubicki honed his skills as a cinematographer at the prestigious Polish National Film School.
He went on to further his education by earning a Master of Fine Arts degree in directing from the esteemed AFI Conservatory in Los Angeles.
