Biography

Stanley Kamel, a renowned actor, was born on January 1, 1943, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, and spent his formative years in South River, New Jersey. He received his high school diploma from Rutgers Preparatory School in Somerset, New Jersey, in 1961.

Kamel then pursued higher education at Boston University's School of Fine Arts, graduating in 1965. He began his acting career with small roles off-Broadway before landing his breakthrough role as a regular cast member on the popular television series "Days of Our Lives" in 1972, a position he held until 1976.

Throughout his extensive career, Kamel portrayed a diverse range of characters, making him a familiar face to many. He had recurring roles on the hit television shows "Murder One" (1995),"Melrose Place" (1992),and "Beverly Hills, 90210" (1990). Later in his career, Kamel is perhaps most notably remembered for his role as Dr. Charles Kroger on the critically acclaimed series "Monk" (2002),starring Tony Shalhoub.

Sadly, Stanley Kamel's life was cut short when he was found deceased in his Hollywood Hills home on April 8, 2008, by his long-time agents, Donna Massetti and Marilyn Szatmary, due to a heart attack. At the time of his passing, Kamel was just 65 years old.
