Biography

Stanislaw Ignacy Witkiewicz, a renowned writer of significant literary merit, entered this world on February 24, 1885, in the historic city of Warsaw, which was then part of the Russian Empire, but is now located in the Mazowieckie province of Poland. This accomplished author is perhaps best known for his works, including the notable "Nursery Rhyme of a Madman" published in 2017, as well as "Farewell to Autumn" released in 1990 and "W starym dworku czyli niepodleglosc trójkatów" published in 1984. Throughout his life, Witkiewicz was married to the lovely Jadwiga Witkiewiczowa. Unfortunately, his life was cut short when he passed away on September 18, 1939, in Jeziory, Poleskie, Poland, which is now known as Velyki Ozera, Ukraine.
