Stan Sheel Tayi, professionally known as James Matador, is a multifaceted individual with a plethora of talents and accomplishments. As one of the founding partners of the Venusian Arts, he has made a significant impact in the world of pickup artistry.
Matador's educational background includes a degree in Computer Science from Depaul University. He has worked in both technology and management consulting, achieving success in the business world. His entrepreneurial spirit and competitive nature led him to pursue martial arts and bodybuilding, ultimately becoming a national-champion martial artist and amateur bodybuilder.
Despite his many accomplishments, Matador struggled with his personal life, particularly when it came to relationships with women. This prompted him to seek out the seduction community in 1999, which would later become a defining aspect of his career.
In 2005, Matador joined forces with fellow pickup artist Mystery Method Corporation, but eventually left to co-found Venusian Arts with Mystery and Lovedrop. During his time at Mystery Method Corporation, Matador and Mystery developed the pilot for VH-1's The Pickup Artist, which aired for two seasons, with Matador playing a key role as an instructor.
As a renowned pickup artist, Matador has shared his expertise through live seminars and speaking engagements around the world, including a talk on social dynamics and dating at Yale University. He is widely regarded as one of the best pickup artists in the world.
Matador's media appearances include The Jon Stewart Show, Conan O'Brien, and Fox and Friends, as well as coverage from CNN, The New York Times, and AskMen.com.
