Biography

Stafford Morgan was a captivating actor, renowned for his striking good looks, commanding presence, and deep, resonant voice, which he utilized to bring a wide range of memorable characters to life on both the big and small screens.

Morgan's acting career began in the mid-1960s, with appearances in both films and television shows. One of his most notable performances was as Dr. Ted Sorenson, a thoughtful and intelligent biochemist, in the 1970s sci-fi thriller "The Alpha Incident". His other standout roles include Sergeant Kert, a corrupt and troubled cop, in the blaxploitation classic "Cleopatra Jones", Alexander McPeak, an arrogant and self-absorbed TV commercial actor, in the deeply unsettling "The Witch Who Came from the Sea", Steve Garrett, a dedicated and hardworking game ranger, in "The Capture of Bigfoot", and a hapless backpacker in the often-maligned backwoods slasher film "The Forest".

In addition to his work in exploitation and genre films, Morgan also had bit parts in mainstream movies like "Die Hard 2" and "Another 48 Hrs.". Furthermore, he made numerous guest appearances on popular television shows such as "Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C.", "Daniel Boone", "Search", "Police Story", "Starsky and Hutch", "The Dukes of Hazzard", "Hotel", and "Hunter".
