Person Biography:
Spencer Johnson, born on January 22, at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, was destined for success. As the only child of William Johnson, Jr. and Corinne Johnson, both successful professionals, he was exposed to a world of learning from a young age. His parents, who attended Morgan State University, instilled in him a love for reading and learning. Spencer's early fascination with movies and psychology led him to pursue a degree in psychology at Johns Hopkins University, followed by medical school at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
After completing his residency at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Washington, DC, Spencer went on to establish his own practice in Temple Hills, Maryland, specializing in general psychiatry and holistic health. In addition to his medical career, Spencer also pursued his passion for filmmaking, establishing Skyrocket Productions, LLC, a full-service independent film and television production company.
As the Executive Producer of Skyrocket Productions, Spencer has produced several films, including 'Safehouse' and 'Coffin', which premiered at the Hollywood Film Festival in 2011. He has also launched the Reel Independent Film Extravaganza (RIFE),a film festival that debuted in Washington, DC in 2010 and has since become a popular event in the film industry.
Spencer's personal life is just as impressive, with a successful marriage to Judy Johnson and a daughter, Jasmine. He is also a stepfather to Maurice Walker. With several projects in pre and post-production, Spencer Johnson and Skyrocket Productions are set to make a lasting impact on the film industry.
