Simon Gallaher's journey began in Brisbane, where he received his early education at the prestigious Anglican Church Grammar School. He then pursued his passion for music at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music.
In 1977, Gallaher made his television debut on the popular Mike Walsh Show, showcasing his talents to a wider audience. This early success led to the creation of his own television program, The Simon Gallaher Show, which aired on ABC-TV from 1982 to 1983. He also co-founded Essgee Entertainment, a musical theatre company that has produced and presented a wide range of productions, including The Pirates of Penzance, H.M.S. Pinafore, The Mikado, The Merry Widow, and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, among many others.
