Biography

Simon G. Mueller, an Austrian-born filmmaker, embarked on his cinematic journey in 1998, commencing with several short film projects. He then pursued his studies at the Film Akademie Wien.

In 2005, Mueller released his first feature film, "Stylers," in Austria, a remarkable achievement considering it was shot without a budget over a period of nearly three years. Mueller single-handedly handled various departments, showcasing his versatility. The film featured Markus E. Mueller, with whom he would collaborate again in the future.

At the premiere of "Stylers" in February 2005, Mueller met Austrian film producer Alfred Ninaus, who became his mentor and close friend. Over the years, Mueller worked on numerous films with Ninaus, penning screenplays like "Therefore I Am" and "Fatalis," but unfortunately, he was unable to secure sufficient funding from the Austrian Film Fonds to begin production.

In 2009, Mueller relocated to New York to pursue his studies at the New York Film Academy under the guidance of William Tyler Smith and Brian Warner.

After several years of perseverance, production of "Fatalis" finally commenced in 2010, in association with Markus E. Mueller's production company, Muco Pictures. The film garnered several International Feature Film Awards and was screened on three continents.

Simon G. Mueller and his long-time collaborator, Rob Barriales, co-founded the New York-based production company, Fatalis Film Productions LLC, along with film producer Mustafa M. Bhuiya.

Barriales and Mueller co-wrote and co-produced the short film "Affections," which was screened at various film festivals in New York, Chicago, and Atlanta.

In addition to their feature and short film productions, they also focus on music videos, commercials, and promotional videos for local businesses and non-profit organizations.

Among other investors, Eduardo Alcivar Gonzales and Nicholas M. Holmes co-funded Mueller's third feature film, "Of Sound Mind."
