Simon Curtis embarked on his illustrious directing career at the esteemed Royal Court Theatre, where he served as Deputy Director to the renowned Max Stafford Clark and helmed the Theatre Upstairs. His impressive tenure at the Royal Court saw the world premiere of Jim Cartwright's thought-provoking play, ROAD, which subsequently transferred to the prestigious Lincoln Center in New York. Following his success at the Royal Court, Curtis went on to work extensively with BBC Television and Films, amassing an impressive fifty directing and producing credits to his name. Throughout his illustrious career, Curtis has garnered numerous accolades, including a nomination for an Emmy Award and a staggering five BAFTA TV Award nominations. When not busy honing his craft, Curtis resides in England with his loving wife, the accomplished actress Elizabeth McGovern, and their cherished children.
