Sibyl, a talented actress with a rich and diverse career spanning over three decades, has made a significant impact in the film, television, and stage production industries in both the US and Asia. Born in San Francisco, she spent her early years in Manila and later moved to New York City, where she was raised.
Sibyl's acting career began at the tender age of two, when she made her screen debut alongside her mother, veteran actress Lorli Villanueva, in Lino Brocka's critically acclaimed film "Maynila sa mga Kuko ng Liwanag". Recently restored and screened at the prestigious Festival de Cannes, this film marked the beginning of Sibyl's long and illustrious acting career.
She went on to play the role of Charlie Perez in the popular soap opera "Flor de Luna" and became a mainstay in various television shows, including "Kulit Bulilit" and "Kaluskos Musmos". Her impressive filmography also includes roles in "Maricris Sioson: Japayuki" and several other notable productions.
In addition to her acting career, Sibyl is also a successful producer, running her own production company, Sitting Cat Productions. With several films in the pipeline, including the feature "SAM", which boasts an impressive list of talent, including Executive Producer Mel Brooks and director Nicholas Brooks, Sibyl continues to push the boundaries of her creative endeavors.
