Shubhashish Bhutiani, a native of Kolkatta, India, was born in the year 1991. His early years were spent in a small Himalayan town, where he attended Woodstock School and developed a strong foundation in the performing arts, particularly in theater. This early exposure to the stage eventually led him to pivot from acting to writing and directing, and he subsequently pursued a formal education in filmmaking at the prestigious School of Visual Arts in New York.
