Biography

Shriya Saran, a multifaceted Indian film actress, model, and presenter, has made a significant impact in the Indian film industry. With a career spanning over two decades, she has worked in numerous regional industries, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, English, Malayalam, and Kannada language films.

Saran's film debut was in 2001 with the Tamil film Ishtam, but it was her role in the Telugu film Santosham (2002) that brought her first commercial success. She went on to appear in several Telugu films, while simultaneously making inroads in the Hindi and Tamil film industries.

One of her most notable roles was in the 2007 Tamil film Sivaji, which was the highest-grossing Tamil film at that time. Her subsequent projects included Azhagiya Tamilmagan (2007) and Kanthaswamy (2009),both Tamil films, as well as high-budget Hindi productions like Mission Istanbul (2008).

Saran's roles in these films have established her as one of the leading actresses in the South Indian film industry. In addition to her work in films, she has also been the brand ambassador for several stores across India, endorsing beauty and health products.
