Hayashiya Hikoroku, the illustrious former Hayashiya Shōzō VIII, a renowned Japanese rakugoka, was born with the given name Tadashi Okamoto. His remarkable career was marked by a notable role as the original Hayashiya Shōzō in the cinematic production "100 Monsters". Prior to his passing, he was succeeded by the current Hayashiya Shōzō IX, ensuring the continuation of the esteemed family tradition in the world of rakugo.
