She currently serves as a member of the esteemed House of Councillors, representing the Liberal Democratic Party, a position she has held since 2006.
Prior to her political career, Kandori made a name for herself as a professional wrestler, but her foray into politics began in 2004 when she ran for a seat in the House of Councillors.
