As a result of her father's military service, Sherry spent a considerable amount of her childhood relocating from one Air-Force base to another, often necessitating a change of scenery and environment.
Following the passing of her father, Sherry made the bold decision to relocate from her childhood home in South Florida to the bustling metropolis of Manhattan, a move that was, in fact, suggested by her father before his untimely demise.
