Sheila Shah is a multifaceted individual who has made a significant impact in various fields, including acting, producing, advocacy, and humanitarian work. Born in Montreal, Canada, she relocated to Toronto at the age of thirteen and developed fluency in Farsi, French, and English.
Growing up, Sheila's passion for the performing arts was evident, with her involvement in dance performances, theatre, and even winning the title of Miss Iran, Canada in 2001. Her early years laid the foundation for her future endeavors, which would span across multiple disciplines.
Sheila's focus on projects with social impact and social change is exemplified through her work as an ambassador and advocate for various organizations. As the sister of twin brothers, one with cerebral palsy, she has become the ambassador of March of Dimes of Canada, helping to raise awareness and funds for the disease. Her dedication to this cause has taken her to attend celebrity golf classic tournaments, speaking engagements, and other events.
As a member of the Global Advisory Council and an Advocate and Ambassador for CARE, Sheila has worked tirelessly to fight poverty by empowering women and girls. Her efforts have taken her to Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, the CAN summit in Atlanta, and campaigns for International Women's Day. She has also been a strong advocate and ambassador for White Ribbon USA and White Ribbon Canada, the largest male-led initiative against violence towards women and children.
Sheila has also produced an advocacy short film, "Reunited," to advocate for legislative change in the Hague Convention on the civil aspects of International Child Abduction in the US and in Hague in Domestic violence aspects. In collaboration with White Ribbon, she aims to give a voice to thousands of women immigrants and refugee victims of domestic violence who seek asylum for a safer and better path.
In addition to her acting and producing career, Sheila has also earned a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, a Postgraduate Degree in Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs, and worked in the pharmaceutical industry in Toronto and Miami. She has also fulfilled another passion of hers by graduating with an Associate of Arts Degree in Merchandise Marketing from The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles.
