Biography

Sheila Wilkinson was born in Aurora, Illinois, to esteemed philanthropists and dedicated Civil Rights workers, Charles and Marie Wilkinson. She had a younger brother, Donald, who tragically succumbed to cancer in 1970. At the tender age of 16, Sheila made the bold decision to leave her family's home and pursue her passion for drama in Frankfurt and London. It was during this period that she honed her craft, acting with the prestigious National Theatre and making a mark in the film industry with notable roles in the groundbreaking film "Pressure" and as the female lead in the cinematic adaptation of "The National Health". However, as she grew older, Sheila began to notice a trend of fewer opportunities for actresses of her age, which led her to reassess her priorities. She ultimately decided to scale back her acting career and return to America, settling in Los Angeles, where she founded Theatre of Hearts. This remarkable organization is dedicated to bringing culture and acting opportunities to underprivileged youngsters, providing them with a platform to develop their skills and talents.
