Shawn Huff's journey in the entertainment industry began at the tender age of 15, when she was first discovered by a modeling agent from France while attending high school in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Despite initial hesitation from her parents, Shawn's persistence and talent ultimately won them over, and she left for Paris to sign with Paris Planning Models.
Over the next year, Shawn traveled extensively throughout Europe, working with esteemed clients such as L'Oreal, Marie-Claire, Vogue, and Bazaar. Her success in Europe led her to sign with Fashion Models in Milan, where she spent the next two years enjoying a thriving modeling career.
However, at the age of 18, Shawn decided she wanted to return to the United States and began working for Ford Models in New York. For the next three years, she worked with all the major magazines, including Vogue, Mademoiselle, Seventeen, and Bazaar.
When an opportunity arose to sign with Nina Blanchard Models in Los Angeles, Shawn took it, marking the beginning of a new chapter in her career. As she settled into her new life in LA, modeling began to take a backseat to her growing passion for acting.
Shawn started taking acting classes, honing her skills in scene study, improvisation, comedy, and cold reading. Although it took 132 interviews to book her first acting role, Shawn persevered and was eventually hired for the series "The Secrets of Lake Success" in 1993.
This marked the beginning of her successful acting career, which would go on to include roles in series such as "McKenna" (1994) and "We the People" (1994),as well as numerous films. Shawn's dedication and perseverance paid off, and she was eventually given a development deal at ABC.
Today, Shawn continues to act and model, and is also the proud mother of Bailey Huff and wife to Brent Huff, an actor and film director.
