Shauntay Hinton, born and raised in Starkville, Mississippi, emerged as a national phenomenon when she was crowned MISS USA 2002. Prior to her reign, she attended Howard University in Washington D.C., where she earned a degree in broadcast journalism.
With her exceptional communication skills and esteemed title, Shauntay utilized her platform to champion various charitable organizations, including Susan G. Komen For The Cure, Miriam's Kitchen, Gilda's House, the USO, and the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
In 2002, Shauntay's tireless efforts helped raise a staggering $34 million for her charitable causes.
As a seasoned television personality, Shauntay has made numerous appearances as a guest co-anchor and panelist on HLN network programs, including NEWS NOW, PRIME NEWS, and SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.
Currently, Shauntay serves as an anchor and segment producer for the Sunrise Morning Show on WCBI, North Mississippi's local CBS news affiliate.
Her impressive resume also boasts a recurring role on Nickelodeon's popular sitcom "iCarly" as "Jessica Warner".
