Sharon Freedman has had a diverse and globally-oriented life, having resided, studied, and worked in a multitude of cities worldwide, including New York, London, Chicago, Amsterdam, San Francisco, and most recently, Los Angeles.
Her extensive film credits include the critically acclaimed Cold Winter's Night, which won Best Short Film at the North Hollywood Cinefest and the Maryland International Film Festival, as well as It's Dark Here, starring the talented Illeana Douglas, Ladies Room, an official selection of Slamdance, and The Ski Trip, featured on the LOGO Network.
In addition to her film work, Sharon has also lent her voice and presence to numerous commercials, industrials, and voiceovers for a wide range of prominent clients, including Volkswagen, Clorox, Ralph Lauren, Domino Sugar, Sears, Aetna, and MTV.
Her impressive theater credits include Off-Broadway performances in New York City at esteemed theaters such as Ensemble Studio Theater, Rattlestick, and Primary Stages. Sharon is a proud member of the Obie Award-winning theater company Partial Comfort Productions (NYC),the Multi-Award-winning Ensemble Studio Theater/LA, and an associate member of the Multi-Award-winning Sacred Fools Theater Company.
Notably, Sharon was also the Co-Creator and Company Manager of The 24Seven Lab, which developed over 50 new plays over a seven-year period, including the Drama Desk Award and Lucille Lortel Award-winning play The Whale by Sam Hunter and the Obie Award-winning play Circle Mirror Transformation by Annie Baker.
Sharon's academic background is equally impressive, with a graduate degree from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Playwrights Horizons Theatre School, and Experimental Theater Wing.
