Biography

Shari Goodhartz is a multifaceted and accomplished writer of film and television, boasting a plethora of awards and nominations throughout her illustrious career.

In 2016-2017, she served as the Program Director of WritersLab, a professional television course at LASALLE College of the Arts in Singapore, where she designed and taught a rigorous training program that developed eight series in a mere ten weeks, adhering to established Hollywood standards. Three premiere seasons of these shows are currently being produced, with funding secured.

Ms. Goodhartz's extensive credits span both live-action and animation, including the critically acclaimed films and television shows such as:

* The Attackmen (2007),a dramatic short that won a Bronze Prize at the Houston WorldFest

* Galidor: Defenders of the Outer Dimension (2002),where she ran the West Coast Writers Room for production in Montreal

* Dragonheart: A New Beginning (1999),a feature film that earned a WGA Award nomination

* The theme song "My Heart Goes with You" from Dragonheart: A New Beginning, which received a U.K. Movie Music Award nomination

* "Hind Sight," an episode of Young Hercules (1998) starring Ryan Gosling, for which she received a WGA Award nomination

* Raw Toonage (1992),an animation project that earned an Emmy nomination for writing

* The half-hour pilot of Æon Flux (1991),and many more.

Ms. Goodhartz was also the first WGA Intern at Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987),a member of the prestigious Warner Bros. Comedy Writers Workshop, and a TV Academy Summer Intern.

Between writing assignments, she serves as an Editorial and Marketing Consultant for SydField, expanding awareness of Mr. Field's groundbreaking paradigm for visual storytelling. Additionally, she is a Developmental Editor in publishing, guiding novelists from initial ideas to final edits, optimizing potential character arcs and narrative structures as the basis for scalable I.P.s for filmed entertainment, and beyond.

At the onset of her career, Ms. Goodhartz was employed by Columbia Pictures Industries, Inc. (then a unit of The Coca-Cola Company) in Corporate Communications, working with senior executives in New York and Atlanta to promote clear understanding of the company's entertainment operations to internal and external audiences. She began as a Secretary but eventually transferred cross-country to manage the department's West Coast activities.

Ms. Goodhartz holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English & General Literature from SUNY Binghamton.
