The film received widespread critical acclaim from esteemed publications such as Variety, Film Journal International, and The New York Times.
In her role as director and editor of Sugar!, Shari brought together an impressive cast, including Tony Award winner Alice Ripley and SAG Award winner Robert Clohessy, to create a captivating cinematic experience.
The Trial of Jack, Shari's 3-D Expressionist film, showcases her bold experimentation with anaglyph technology, reminiscent of the 1950s, and the 1920s expressionist style. This groundbreaking film has been showcased at over 30 international film festivals, including the Sarasota Film Festival, the St. Louis International Film Festival, and the Rhode Island International Film Festival.
Born and raised in the Bronx, Shari now resides in Brooklyn with her husband and dog. In addition to her artistic pursuits, she is committed to arts education and volunteers as a choreographer for school musicals at East Rockaway Jr/Sr HS.
