Shane Morton, a renowned Producer and Director, embarked on a show business career 20 years ago as a professional actor. His journey began with a breakout role as Christopher Wren at the tender age of 15 in the Marshall County Community Theatre's production of Mousetrap.
Following this success, Morton honed his craft at Murray State University, where he majored in both Theatre and Vocal Performance. His profound passion for musical theatre soon transformed him into a theatre gypsy, touring nationally and performing in all 48 continental United States, as well as Canada and Mexico.
In the year 2000, Morton settled in Philadelphia and took on the role of casting director for Broadway On Tour/TAFY. It was during this time that he met his life partner, Jody Newman, while they were both cast in the stage play R&J. After contemplating their future together, they made the bold decision to relocate to Los Angeles in 2002 to pursue a career in film.
With a newfound appreciation for the cinematic arts, Morton co-founded I.M. Ltd. Films to produce and direct his own projects. Since his move to LA, he has successfully directed several stage productions and produced and directed numerous short films. Morton is currently in pre-production on his next short film and in development on the feature film The Dare of Bunk 13.
In addition to his filmmaking endeavors, Morton is also the co-founder of Indie Express, a website dedicated to the independent filmmaker and indie audience member. He can often be spotted at film festivals, enthusiastically watching the latest movies and conducting in-depth interviews with the filmmakers.
