Seyneb Saleh, a talented German actress, was born on December 25, 1987, in Aalen, Germany. Her unique heritage is a reflection of her diverse upbringing, as she is the daughter of a German mother and an Iraqi father. Apart from spending two years in Casablanca, Morocco, where she attended an American school, she was mainly raised in Germany.
Seyneb's passion for acting led her to study at the Berlin University of the Arts from 2008 to 2012. During her studies, she received a prestigious scholarship from the German Academic Scholarship Foundation Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes in 2010.
After gaining recognition for her leading role in Rudolf Thome's Das rote Zimmer, Seyneb appeared alongside Nora Tschirner and Elyas M'Barek in the film Offroad. In 2012, she joined the ensemble at the playhouse in Graz, Austria, where she primarily performed on stage. Her screen appearances were limited to small roles in For Nothing and The Lies of the Victors in 2014.
In 2015, Seyneb transitioned to the Volkstheater Vienna, where she remained a member of the acting ensemble until 2018. During this period, she worked with renowned theater directors such as Yael Ronen, Dusan David Parízek, and Stephan Kimmig. She also collaborated with the puppeteer and director Nikolaus Habjan, learning the art of puppeteering and performing in his shows as both an actress and a puppeteer.
In 2016, Seyneb landed her first English-language role in Duncan Jones' Mute, a neo-noir science fiction film. She played the enigmatic girlfriend Naadirah of a mute bartender played by Alexander Skarsgård. The Netflix production was released in February 2018.
In 2018, Seyneb further appeared in Deutschland 86 in an Arabic-speaking role and in the German Netflix production Dogs of Berlin. Currently, she resides in Berlin, where she continues to pursue her acting career.
