Severija Janusauskaite, a talented actress, was born in Lithuania and graduated from the Theatre and Cinema Academy in Vilnius, Lithuania in 2005.
She began her career in theatre, working with director J. Vaitkus at the Youth Theatre of State in Vilnius, before transitioning to film. Her early work included appearances in various Lithuanian and international projects, such as Anarchy in Zirmunai (2010),Honningfellen (2008),Two Hours, Expermen, Comma, Violence, The Fortress of Sleeping Butterflies, and Chasing Solace.
In 2012, Janusauskaite started collaborating with Russian directors, taking on the lead role in Anna Melikyan's film The Star, for which she won the best actress award at the open Russian film festival Kinotavr, the National Academy of Russia Golden Eagle Award for best supporting role, and was nominated for best actress and discovery of the year by NIKA Awards and Russian Guild of Critics Awards for best acting.
Throughout 2012-2016, Janusauskaite continued to work in Russian cinema, starring in leading roles in films such as Norwegian, Godfather, Exact Address, Poka net, DreamFish, and many others. She also appeared in Polina, directed by Olias Barco, and Optimists, directed by Aleksey Popogrebski.
In addition to her acting career, Janusauskaite is a skilled voice over artist and music composer for theatre performances. She is fluent in Lithuanian, English, and Russian, and currently resides in Vilnius.
