Seeta Kothari's illustrious career spans numerous prestigious theaters and productions. She began her journey as Cassandra in the original cast of Andrew Lloyd Webber's iconic musical, "Cats", before going on to perform at The Royal National Theatre, The Royal Exchange, and The Royal Shakespeare Company. During her time at The Royal Shakespeare Company, she had the opportunity to work with esteemed directors Trevor Nunn, John Caird, and Terry Hands, with whom she rekindled her relationship with Trevor Nunn.
Seeta's most notable role to date is perhaps her portrayal of WPC Norika Datta in the long-running police drama, "The Bill", for which she received widespread acclaim and was voted Best Supporting Actress by The Asian Film Academy in 1995. Her impressive performance earned her a second accolade from The Asian Film Academy in 1996, this time as Best Actress.
In recent years, Seeta has had the privilege of working with renowned companies, including Rambert Dance Company, for whom she performed in "Cruel Garden". She has also had the opportunity to play Ariel to Alec McCowen's Prospero in a production of "The Tempest", and has appeared at the London Palladium alongside her childhood heroine, Cyd Charisse.
Seeta's versatility as a performer has been showcased in her roles, which have spanned opera, ballet, and musical theater. She has been invited to participate in the first national tour in 40 years of Britain's oldest opera company, Carl Rosa Opera, playing the role of Prince Orlovsky in "Die Fledermaus".
To maintain her physical fitness, Seeta combines ballet and step classes, and studies singing with the renowned Mary Hammond.
