Biography

Sean Power, a talented individual, was born in Dublin, Ireland, and later relocated to Canada as a young person. During his high school years in Toronto, he began to hone his acting skills, eventually becoming one of the youngest candidates to be accepted into the prestigious National Theater School of Canada.

Following his graduation, Power quickly made a name for himself on stage, appearing in the Stratford Ontario Shakespeare season just six months later. This marked the beginning of a successful career in Canadian theater, with numerous productions under his belt.

As his career continued to flourish, Power made the move to New York, where he won acclaim for his work with the La Mama Theater Company. However, he eventually returned to his native Ireland, where he appeared in the popular soap opera 'Fair City' and received positive reviews for his stage work.

Years later, in 2005, Power settled in London and began to make a name for himself in the British theater scene. In early 2006, he took over the lead role from Woody Harrelson in the West End revival of 'Night of the Iguana'.

Despite his extensive and illustrious career on stage around the world, Sean Power is perhaps best known to British television audiences as Marty, the patient co-writer of the hit sitcom 'Lead Balloon'.
