Sean Canfield is a multifaceted filmmaker with a diverse range of creative endeavors. For the past five years, he has been writing for various production companies, honing his craft and building a reputation as a talented and versatile writer, producer, and director.
One of his earliest and most notable projects was the TV pilot "Outside In," which he wrote, produced, and directed in 2008. The pilot starred up-and-coming recording artist Rae O'Rourke and was shot on location at Verdugo Hills High School in Tujunga, California.
Throughout his career, Sean has taken on a variety of roles on numerous films, including writing and starring in the shockumentary "As Good As The Gun: Winchester Revealed." This unique and captivating film was shot on Halloween night in 2005 at the Winchester Mystery House in his hometown of San Jose California,.
In addition to his work on "As Good As The Gun," Sean was instrumental in the creation of Seidl Corporation, an independent production company that has been operating in Los Angeles since January 2006. His first feature screenplay, "Violent Desires," is currently in pre-production.
As of 2009, Sean has been working exclusively with Infested Films, assisting on the company's first two shorts, the body horror short "The Morning After" and the supernatural thriller "Theodore," starring Lloyd Kaufman.
Sean's extensive experience in the film industry has also led to opportunities in other areas. He produced, wrote, and directed a segment of the feature anthology "Dead On Appraisal," the first feature film from Infested Films, which was released on DVD and VOD in April 2014 and had a limited theatrical run in September 2014.
As of March 2015, Sean is busy with a number of projects, including finishing his first novel, producing a film called "A Wedding" for director Jay Sosnicki, and making a documentary about the city of Huntsville, Alabama called "Rising South."
