Sean, a talented individual, hails from the picturesque city of Hobart, located in the island state of Tasmania. His filmmaking journey began with the release of his debut feature, The Loved Ones, in 2009, which garnered immense recognition and acclaim. This groundbreaking film achieved official selection at over twenty international film festivals, including the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival, where it won the People's Choice Award in the Midnight Madness Category. Furthermore, it received the esteemed Siren Award for Best International Feature at the Lund International Film Festival in 2010.
Sean's most recent short film, Advantage, made its international premiere at the renowned Sundance Film Festival in 2008, and has since collected multiple awards on the festival circuit. During his time at the Australian Film Television & Radio School, where he was pursuing his Master's degree, Sean received two prestigious awards for his outstanding work in drama directing. These awards, presented by the Australian Directors Guild and Screen Sound Australia, acknowledged his exceptional direction in his shorts, Work?, Sport, Sunday, and Ben.
When Sean is not busy directing shorts and features, he devotes his time to creating engaging television commercials for Renegade Films in Melbourne. His impressive portfolio includes directing advertisements for prominent brands such as Cadburys, Nintendo, and Ford, among others.
