Scott Whitehurst, the offspring of Dr. Virgil E. Whitehurst, a distinguished pharmacologist, and Dr. Mary Scott Whitehurst, a renowned nursing educator, made his grand entrance into the world on December 24, 1962, in the vibrant city of Indianapolis, Indiana. However, it was in Washington, DC, where he spent his formative years, that he developed the foundations of his character.
As a scholar, Scott pursued his passion for English Literature and Philosophy at the prestigious Columbia University. In addition to his academic pursuits, he also honed his craft as an actor at the esteemed Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University, under the guidance of the illustrious William Esper and Maggie Flanigan.
On September 14, 1996, Scott tied the knot with the talented actress-singer, Angela Robinson, with whom he shares a son.
