Scott Takeda was born in Colorado and began his television career in 1990 as a TV news reporter in Pocatello, Idaho, working for KIDK. He then transitioned to newsrooms in Ohio, Denver, and Philadelphia, where he served as a producer-photojournalist, earning two regional Emmy awards and two "Photographer of the Year" titles.
In 1995, Takeda joined the staff of "News-for-Kids" and spent three seasons producing segments for the Emmy-award winning syndicated children's show. During this time, he also founded his own production company, which produced the documentary film "The Holocaust: Colorado Remembers". Under his company, Takeda has won numerous awards, including four additional Emmys, over thirty national Telly Awards, and the international Gold WorldMedal from the New York Festivals TV Film Awards. His client list boasts prominent brands such as Buick GMC, Eli Lilly, Proctor and Gamble, and MSN.
Takeda made his national acting debut in 2001 as Sgt. Tai Lee in the Animal Planet series "Busted". Today, he divides his time between Los Angeles and Colorado, working as both an actor and director.
