Scott Winfield Sublett is a multi-talented individual with a wide range of creative pursuits. As a writer and director, he has brought several projects to life, including the feature film "Generic Thriller" starring Academy Award-winner Shirley Jones, and the satire "Bye-Bye Bin Laden", which won the "Best Feature" award at the South Beach Animation Festival.
Sublett has also made a name for himself in the world of stage musicals. His show "Stealing Freedom" tells the story of Civil War hero Robert Smalls and was presented by Manhattan's Amas Musical Theatre in 2017 and 2018. Another notable production is his musical "Die, Die, Diana", which premiered at the New York International Fringe Festival and was noted in the New York Times.
In addition to his work in film and theatre, Sublett has also made a significant impact in the world of journalism. His articles have been published in several prominent publications, including "The San Francisco Chronicle", "The Washington Blade", and UPI. He currently writes about film and culture for "The New Art Examiner" based in Cornwall, England.

Sublett holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in screenwriting from UCLA, a Bachelor of Science degree in radio/TV/film from Northwestern University, and is a tenured professor of screenwriting, playwriting, and film studies at San Jose State University.
