Scott Haining, a talented individual with a passion for performing, was born in Leeds, Yorkshire, England. His love for music and performance was nurtured by his parents and older sister, Charlotte Haining, who are all musically inclined. His mother is a music teacher, and his father studied music as a young boy. Scott's exposure to music began at a young age, and he went on to learn many instruments, specializing in the Bass Guitar and Cornet.
As he grew older, Scott's interest in musical theater blossomed after joining the Rebel School of Theater Arts in 2004, where he took Acting and Dancing lessons. He quickly landed leads in the end-of-year productions and made his professional TV debut in 2010, playing the role of Nate Gurney in the BBC's Waterloo Road, Season 6. His character, Nate, was the love interest of Josh Stevenson, and the episodes aired in the first half of 2011.
In April 2011, Scott traveled to London to film a role in the daytime soap show Doctors, playing the character of Darren Arnott in the episode "Decent People." His character was persuaded by a gang to join, but he was not interested. The episode aired on July 28th, 2011.
Later in 2011, Scott played the role of Scott in the production "Frankenstein's Wedding...Live in Leeds," where his character was a Chav who teased Frankenstein for his looks.
In September 2011, Scott moved to London to pursue his passion for musical theater further, enrolling in a Foundation course in Musical Theater at Mountview Academy of Theater Arts. He also continued dance lessons at the renowned Pineapple Dance Studio.
After completing his course in 2012, Scott was cast in the UK tour of the hit Jukebox Musical "Dreamboats and Petticoats," playing the lead role of Bobby. He toured all over England from June to November 2012.
In 2013, Scott was cast as Joe B. Mauldin in the 25th anniversary tour of "Buddy-The Buddy Holly Story," which began in September 2013.
In December 2014, Scott took on the role of Buttons in "Cinderella A Rock and Roll Panto" at the Stafford Gatehouse Theatre, performing for four weeks. As part of the show, Scott sang two solo songs, played guitar, bass, and trumpet, and provided backing vocals for other songs. The show's run ended in January 2015, marking Scott's first Pantomime experience.
